John Muir National Historic Site Appreciation Event

Join us for this hour-long event, a gesture to let the National Park Service (NPS) team know that we SUPPORT them in these challenging Federal Government times. It is VERY special to have a National Park site in our town, and we don't feel that they get enough attention and support. Do you know how often they hear from local guests, "I never knew this was here!"? -- too often!

Remember this is NOT a protest, but a showing of support for our Neighbor, The John Muir National Historic Site (JMNHS), located at the entrance to our City. We are grateful they are here and we support our National Park employees, many of whom have made Martinez their home! We'll have a large banner, too!

Can't make it at this time and date? Be sure to make the John Muir Birthday / Earth Day event the next day, to show your appreciation. And come visit them during their normal working hours, currently limited to Tues-Sat, 10-5pm. Remember that admission is always FREE! They have an amazing little gift shop, too!

Bring your full reusable water bottle! You'll be thirsty from sampling cookies and talking with fellow supporters!
